Musical Shape Shifters
The members of Slim Pickerel all grew up in Essex County Ontario Canada, just across the river from Detroit, Michigan.
Each member brings a unique musical aesthetic to the band and over the years the band's grown comfortable jumping genres and mashing up influences. It's easy to hear multiple influences of Rock, Country, Motown, Soul and Jam Band vibes.
Simple Beginnings
Slim Pickerel's songs are deeply rooted in the region in which they were created. Heavy on great lakes boating / fishing, agricultural, and the blue collar working class upbringings that have molded the musical minds of the band members.
Looking to the Future
Slim Pickerel's packing up the gear and gigging around Southwestern Ontario and beyond this Spring/Summer. The set lists will prominently feature currently released tunes, some of the bands (and your) favourite covers and some yet to be released originals.
